Preschool Programs

“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.”
W.B. Yeats

At the NRC, we believe that quality early childhood education is the surest way to build a strong foundation in the community, starting with our most valuable resource — our children. Therefore, we offer a variety of programs for preschoolers, ages 2-1/2 to 5, including:

Montessori Preschool

Ages 2-1/2 – 5 years
Children, ages 2.6 to 5 years old, learn language, math, geography and much more in a safe, loving and self-paced environment. Learn more »

Story Time

Ages 6 and under
Join us for Story Time in the NRC Tot Library. We read stories geared for younger children (ages 6 and under), sing songs and play games to encourage a lifelong love of reading and books. Then, take home a book to read at home! Each child must be accompanied by parent or older child (12 and up). View calendar »

Tot Library

Open during program hours. Thanks to a generous grant from the United Way Success by Six program, the NRC has created a special library geared for young children. In addition to new books, the library offers games, puzzles and plenty of chairs to curl up in with a great book.
