NRC Celebrates Five Years in Fulton
The NRC celebrated five years in the Fulton Community by throwing a thank you party to all those who’ve helped to make it happen. In case you missed it, some of the highlights included food prepared by Martha Uzel and our part-time chef Blue Clements, various speeches about how the NRC started and the programs we offer, and pre-recorded entertainment by the Montessori Preschool.
For those who attended, we had great giveaway appreciation bags with fun NRC stuff including cookbooks with recipes made by the kids in the after-school program. The best part was time spent relaxing, eating and talking with the Fulton community and supporters.
If you weren’t there, we invite you to come by and see the new mosaic around the door leading into the kitchen designed by Angie Carey, the President of the NRC Board of Directors. Not only is it stunning but it honors our beginning with photos of Mary Lou Decossaux and The United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 388, some folks who helped make the center happen.
Mostly, the party was our opportunity to thank everyone – contributors, volunteers, staff, board and the community – for their support this past 5 years and to look forward, with your help, to the years ahead.
